Recommended use
The coating is used in systems for protecting metal structures from corrosion and fire as a component of combined structural fire protection with thin-layer intumescent fire coatings PLAMCOR-1 and PLAMCOR-2 to increase the fire resistance rating of the metal structure.
The coating is intended for use in atmospheric conditions of macroclimatic regions UHL, HL, atmospheric categories I and II, placement categories 3 and 4 according to GOST 15150 in combination with composition PLAMCOR-1, and placement categories 2, 3, and 4 with composition PLAMCOR-2. The choice of a combined structural fire protection system depends on the operating conditions.
The surface should be primed before applying, and recommended primers include ZINEP, ISOLEP-primer, ISOLEP-mastic, VINICOR-061, EVOPOL-12, GF-021 (GOST 25129), or others, subject to approval by VMP.

EXPENDITURE
The theoretical consumption for a single-layer coating with a thickness of 1000 microns is 1.0 kg/m2.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface must be primed beforehand.
The primer coating should be cleaned of contaminants, degreased, free from dust and moisture; all damaged areas of the primer coating should be repaired.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Preparation of the PLAMCOR-602 composition for use:
- mix up thoroughly to homogeneous state with mixer;
If necessary, dilute it with a thinner to the working viscosity immediately before use.
Application conditions - at a temperature from minus 15 to plus 30 °C and relative humidity of the air not more than 80% (when painting at reduced temperature, consultation with the material manufacturer is recommended).
The composition should be applied by airless spray or with a brush / spatula in several layers, depending on the required thickness.
SERVICE LIFE OF THE COATING
The service life of the complex fire protection coating PLAMCOR-602 when used in a moderately cold and cold climate according to GOST 15150 is:
in combination with the PLAMCOR-1 coating, at least 18 years when used in rooms of the accommodation category 4, at least 10 years – in rooms of the accommodation category 3;
in combination with the PLAMCOR-2 coating, at least 25 years when used in rooms of accommodation category 3 and 4, at least 10 years – in rooms with accommodation category 2.
The coating retains its flame-retardant effectiveness during the specified period in the absence of mechanical damage and constant condensation of moisture. After the end of the specified period, the flame retardant coating must be replaced with the complete removal of the existing layer and its subsequent restoration.
Storage and handling
The PLAMCOR-602 composition is supplied in metal buckets with a capacity of 20 liters.
Storage conditions are in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at an ambient temperature ranging from minus 40 to plus 40°C, away from heat sources). During storage, the container should not be exposed to
to atmospheric precipitation and direct sunlight.
Warranty storage period in air-tight original manufacturer’s containers is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
PRECAUTIONS
