EXPENDITURE
The theoretical consumption for a single-layer coating with a thickness of 1 mm is:
- when applied by the airless method of 1.1 kg/m2
- when applied with a spatula and brush 1.3 kg/m2
SURFACE PREPARATION
Primer coating shall be cleaned from dirt, dust and decreased, shall be free from moisture and shall not have any corrosive degradation, flaking off and cracking.
All areas of damage of primer coating should be repaired.
The recommended thickness of the primer coating is from 40 to 150 microns. The time of interlayer drying of the primer coating before applying the PLAMCOR-302 composition should be taken in accordance with the technical conditions for the primer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE!
Preparation of the composition when applied with a spatula, brush:
mix the base of the composition and the hardener (each component separately) until homogeneous in a transport container using a mixer;
with constant stirring, completely add the hardener to the base (the ratio of the base and the hardener by weight is 3.6:1).
The remaining hardener on the walls of the container should be washed off by adding a small amount of solvent SOLV-UR (TU 2319-032-1228779) and poured into the base, then mix the components to a homogeneous consistency.
dilute to working viscosity with diluent immediately before application.
The prepared composition should be used within 1 hour (at an ambient temperature of (20±2)°C). If the temperature increases, the time should be reduced accordingly.
Application conditions for the composition: at temperatures ranging from -5 to +35°C and with a relative humidity of no more than 80%.
The composition can be applied using heating installations with separate component delivery, approved by the manufacturer of the fire-resistant material.
Natural atmospheric drying. Drying time depends on the temperature, and as the temperature increases, the drying time decreases.
Each subsequent layer of the composition should be applied no earlier than 24 hours (at a temperature of (20±2)°C) after the application of the previous layer. At low temperatures, the time of interlayer drying of coatings should be increased.
The complete drying time for the PLAMCOR-302 coating at a temperature of (20±2)°C is not less than 7 days (it depends on the temperature, with higher temperatures resulting in shorter drying times).
If necessary, a finishing enamel can be applied to the fire-resistant coating in one or two layers with a total thickness ranging from 50 to 150 μm. The minimum waiting time for the PLAMCOR-302 coating before applying finishing enamels should be at least 24 hours, and the maximum waiting time should not exceed one month (at a temperature of plus (20±2)°C).
Fire-resistant coating that has been damaged during operation should be restored by removing the damaged coating and restoring it to the required thickness.
Storage and handling
The PLAMCOR-302 composition is supplied as a set, with the base and hardener packaged in metal containers of 20 liters and 5 liters, respectively.
Storage conditions are in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at an ambient temperature ranging from minus 40 to plus 40°C, away from heat sources). During storage, the container should not be exposed to precipitation and direct sunlight.
Warranty storage period in air-tight original manufacturer’s containers is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
PRECAUTIONS
When working with the enamel one shall observe the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label.
Personal protective equipment (goggles, face masks and respirators) shall be used, inhalation of thinners and contact of the composition or its components with skin, ocular mucosa, respiratory channels shall be avoided; use inside the premises is allowed only in case sufficient ventilation is provided.
The composition is classified as a fire-hazardous material.
COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MATERIALS
It is applied on the primer coatings ZINEP, ISOLEP-primer, ISOLEP-mastic, VINIKOR-ecoprime, or other primers in agreement with the manufacturer of the flame retardant.
When operating under conditions with intense UV radiation exposure, it is recommended to cover with finishing enamels such as POLITON-UR (UV), VINIKOR-62, as well as polyurethane, vinyl-epoxy, or other enamels as agreed upon with the manufacturer of the fire-resistant composition.
