Recommended use
POLYTON-HV enamel is used as a top protective and decorative layer for fire-retardant intumescent coating PLAMKOR-2 (TU 2313-074-12288779-2008) in complex systems for the protection of metal structures from corrosion and fire in atmospheric conditions of macroclimatic regions U, UHL, atmosphere type I and II according to GOST 15150 and indoors.
CERTIFICATION

DESCRIPTION
VMP Holding has been producing POLYTON series enamels for more than 10 years. During this time, serious experience has been accumulated in their use in a variety of operating conditions.
POLYTON-HV enamel is used as an upper protective and decorative layer for the flame retardant intumescent coating PLAMKOR-2. Coat does not stop the bloating of the PLAMCOR-2 fire-proof composition. Coating is not recommended for use in particularly aggressive conditions (long-term high humidity, corrosive gases).
Recommended dry coating thickness:
100-120 microns for protection against the influence of climatic factors of the PLAMCOR-2 coat when operating in the open air;
40-80 microns to impart decorative properties to the PLAMCOR-2 coats when operating indoors.

CONSUMPTION PER M2
The theoretical consumption for a single-layer coating is 135 - 270 g/m2.
RECOMMENDED CONDITION OF THE PAINTED SURFACE
The surface of the flame retardant coating PLAMKOR-2 must be clean, dry and free from defects. The temperature of the painted surface must be at least 3 ° C above the dew point.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
prior applying, mix the enamel thoroughly until smooth;
if necessary, dilute with a solvent no more than 15% by mass.
It is recommended to apply the enamel at an ambient temperature from 0 to plus 40 ° C (allowed from minus 15 ° C) and a relative humidity of no more than 80%.
The holding time of the flame retardant coating PLAMKOR-2 after applying the last layer before applying the enamel POLYTON-HV at a temperature of (20 ± 2)°C and relative humidity (65 ± 5)% should be at least 4 days.
It is recommended to apply 1 or 2 layers of POLYTON-HV depending on the operating conditions, while controlling the wet film thickness and usage rate:
200-270 g/m2 (theoretical) for a coating with a thickness of 60-80 microns (in 1 layer);
335-403 g/m2 (theoretical) for a coating with a thickness of 100-120 microns (in 2 layers).
Conversion coefficient of the dry/ wet coating layer is 0.37.
Recommended application parameters:
Airless spraying
Recommended diluent SOLV-UR® (TU 2319-032-12288779-2002),
white spirit (nefras-C4-155/200)*
up to 15 % by mass
Nozzle diameter 0.017" – 0.021" (0.43 - 0.53 mm)
Pressure 20 - 30 MPa (200 - 300 bar)
Brush / Roller
Recommended diluent white spirit (nefras-C4-155/200)
Amount of diluent up to 15% by mass
Equipment cleaning
petroleum solvent, thinners R-4, R-5, R-12 and R-24.
* white-spirit is recommended to be applied at 20 °С and above and with intensive ventilation for reducing thinner evaporation from the coating and preventing film formation on its surface.
Drying of the POLYTON-HV coat is natural, as the ambient temperature increases, the drying time of the coat shortens.
The subsequent layer of POLYTON-HV (when applying the thickness of 100-120 μm per 2 layers) should be applied no earlier than 2 hours after the application of the previous layer (at (20±2)°C).
The time for through dry of the coat is 7 days.
STORAGE OF ANTICORROSIVE ENAMEL
The POLYTON-HV l is supplied in metal containers.
Storage conditions – in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at air temperature from minus 40 to plus 40 °C). The container shall be protected from lasting direct sunlight and atmospheric condensation.
The shelf life of POLYTON-HV in hermetically enclosed original container is 12 months starting with the manufacture date.
SECURITY MEASURES
When working with the enamel one shall observe the existing sectoral standard norms and requirements and safety measures as specified on the package label.
It is necessary to use personal protective equipment (glasses, masks, respirators) and avoid inhalation of thinners during evaporation and enamel contact with the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes and respiratory tract, use indoors only with sufficient ventilation.
Enamel is classified as fire-hazardous materials.
