DESCRIPTION

NEFTECOR epoxy enamel meets the requirements for coatings for the protection of tanks and cisterns for the storage of oil and petroleum products. High protective properties of NEFTEKOR enamel are combined with good manufacturability. The material is thixotropic, that allows to obtain the necessary thickness of the coating in one layer.

CONSUMPTION PER M2

The theoretical consumption for a single-layer coating is 190-350 g/m2.

APPLICATION

mix the base to a homogeneous condition before application;

with constant stirring, add the hardener to the base and mix thoroughly;

if necessary, dilute to working viscosity.

When organizing painting work, it is necessary to take into account the decrease of the pot life of working mixture (after mixing the components) with increasing temperature.

The material is recommended to be applied in the factory and in the field:

- white color at a temperature of plus 5 to plus 35 ° C and a relative humidity of no more than 85 %;

- other colors at a temperature from minus 5 to plus 35 ° C and a relative humidity of no more than 85%.

Temperature of the painted surface must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.

Enamel prepared for application must have a temperature of at least plus 15 ° C.

It is recommended to apply the enamel in 1-2 layers by airless spraying, brush / roller.

Recommended application methods:

Airless spraying

 Recommended diluents SOLVIN-12 (TU 20.30.22-014-67503963-2018) up to 5% by mass

Paint pressure at the nozzle exit is 150 bar,

 nozzle diameter is 0.38–0.53mm (0.015"-0.021").

Brush / Roller

 Recommended diluents are SOLVIN-12 to 5% by mass

Dilution of no more than 5% of the solvent is allowed.

It is recommended to apply 2 layers.

Drying time to degree 3 – no more than 24 hours at (20 ± 2) ° C. In closed cavities and hard-to-reach places, the drying time increases by 2 times.

Exposure of coating system before the metal structure is put into operation – 7 days

STORAGE OF ANTICORROSIVE ENAMEL

The material is delivered in packages: the base and hardener packed in metal buckets and metal  cans respectively depending on the set weight.

Storage conditions - in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at ambient temperature from minus 40 to plus 35 ° C). When storing containers with material components, they should not be placed near heat sources, exposed to atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.

Shelf life is determined by the warranty periods of storage of the base (24 months) and the hardener (specified in the quality certificate) from the date of manufacture.

OPERATION OF THE COATING

It is used at temperatures from -60 ° C to +60 ° C, in conditions of exposure to crude oil and other aggressive media.
