Recommended use

VINIKOR-acrylic-013 is a water-repellent primer for an absorbent mineral base based on acrylic-siloxane, one-component. Provides long-lasting water resistance.

It is used as a colorless protective water-repellent composition for mineral substrates (concrete, brickwork, cement plaster, etc.).

AREAS OF APPLICATION

VINICOR-acrylic-013 is used in the water transport industry and nuclear power plants.

Used as:

self-coverage;

hydrophobic coating in a complex coating system with enamel VINICOR-acrylic-14.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLYING THE PRIMER

Surface preparation

remove dirt, oil and grease contamination; remove lime (cement) milk, destroyed or peeling layers of concrete and old coatings by abrasive cleaning, grinding machine or brushes;

dedusting;

repair cracks and chips.

The concrete surface prepared for the application of paint and varnish coating should be uniformly rough and have no protruding reinforcement, large defects: cracks, potholes, sinks, surges, chipped ribs, oil stains, dirt and dust.

The holding time of the concrete base after the concrete placement and prior to the primer application should be at least 28 days; after the leveling compound application - according to the regulatory documents of the compound manufacturer. The surface humidity (in a surface layer 20 mm thick) is not more than 4%.

Before applying subsequent coatings, the surface must be dry, clean and free of oil and dust.

Instructions for use

Mix the primer thoroughly before use.

The material is recommended to be applied in factory and field conditions at temperature of +5 to + 35 ° C and a relative humidity of no more than 85%. The temperature of the surface to be painted must be above the "dew point" at least 3°C.

Recommended application parameters:

Airless spraying       Without dilution

The pressure of the paint at the outlet of the nozzle is 12-16 MPa (120-160 bar),

the nozzle diameter is 0.28–0.43 mm (0.011"-0.021").

Pneumatic spraying Without dilution

Pressure 0.2 - 0.4 MPa (2 - 4 bar)

Nozzle diameter 1.8 - 2.2 mm

The subsequent layers of impregnation should be applied "wet on wet". The time before covering with the finishing coating depends on the air temperature and is at least 24 hours at plus (20±2)°C.

The curing time depends on the surface temperature, ambient air temperature, coating thickness, ventilation efficiency, and relative humidity of the air.

STORAGE OF ANTICORROSIVE PRIMER

The material is supplied in plastic cans or metal buckets.

Storage conditions – in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at ambient temperature from minus 40 to plus 40 ° C). When storing containers with material components, they should not be near heat sources, exposed to precipitation and direct sunlight.

The warranty period of storage is 24 months from the date of manufacture.

PRECAUTIONS

When working, observe the relevant industry standards and requirements, as well as the precautions indicated on the packaging label.

Personal protective equipment (goggles, face masks and respirators) shall be used, inhalation of thinners and contact of the composition or its components with skin, ocular mucosa, respiratory channels shall be avoided; use inside the premises is allowed only in case sufficient ventilation is provided.
