ISOLEP®-pro
ISOLEP®-pro
- Color: Uniform transparent matte
- Packing: Double-packed
Recommended use
The epoxy penetrating primer ISOLEP-pro is used to protect concrete and reinforced concrete structures operated in the atmosphere and in contact with liquid media, in areas of full immersion and variable level. It is used in complex systems of anticorrosive coatings.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
ISOLEP-pro primer is used for corrosion protection of industrial and civil construction facilities.
CERTIFICATION
It is approved by the test center of Research Institute of Transport Construction JSC (TsNIIS JSC).
DESCRIPTION OF THE ISOLEP-pro PRIMER
Epoxy penetrating primer with high penetration, two-pack. The base of the primer is a solution of epoxy resin with adhesion enhancers to concrete.
It is used as a primer layer before applying the main paint coating. It is well absorbed, strengthens the surface layer of concrete. It can be used as an independent coating for dedusting the concrete surface.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The concrete surface, prepared for the application of a paint coating in accordance with SP 72.13330.2016, must be uniformly rough and free from protruding reinforcement, cracks, craters, blowholes, blisters, chipping of edges, oil stains, dirt, and dust. The sequence of work is as follows:
remove dirt, oil and grease contamination;
Remove the top layer (cement milk) by abrasive blasting (preferably), mechanical abrasive cleaning (grinding machine, etc.), or high-pressure hydrojet cleaning (at least 200 atm).
dedusting.
The concrete base's age (after concrete placement or the application of leveling compounds) should be at least 28 days before applying primer.
Residual moisture in the surface layer of 20 mm should not exceed 4 %.
The temperature of the base must be at least 3 °C above the dew point
There should be no visible traces of moisture on the surface.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE ISOLEP-pro PRIMER
The primer base should be stirred, and a hardener (in a weight ratio of 100:19 respectively) should be added to it, followed by mixing with a mixer for 2-3 minutes The primer can be used immediately after mixing the components.
The primer shall be applied on dry and clean surface at temperatures from plus 10 °C to plus 35 °C and relative air humidity not exceeding 80 %.
Apply a thin layer in the minimum amount necessary to impregnate the concrete surface. Avoid applying excess primer - the primed surface should not be glossy. In the case of obtaining a glossy surface before applying the main coating should be abrasive surface treatment.

STORAGE OF ANTICORROSIVE PRIMER
The primer is supplied as a kit: the base is packaged in 20-liter metal buckets, and the hardener is packaged in 3-liter metal buckets.
Storage of the primer in accordance with the requirements of GOST 9980.5.
The primer should be stored in the manufacturer's airtight container, away from heat sources, at an ambient temperature ranging from minus 40 to plus 40°C. The container with the primer should be protected from exposure to atmospheric precipitation and direct sunlight.
The warranty storage period for the primer components in the manufacturer's airtight container is 36 months from the date of manufacture.
PRECAUTIONS
"When working with the primer, it is important to follow relevant industry standards and requirements, as well as the safety precautions indicated on the label of the container The ISOLEP-pro primer is intended for professional use.
COMPATIBILITY OF THE ISOLEP-pro PRIMER WITH OTHER VMP MATERIALS
