ISOLEP®-epoline
ISOLEP®-epoline
- Color: white, gray, red-brown, black, and others. Gloss value: Glossy
- Packing: Double-packed
Recommended use
ISOLEP-epoline is a double-packed epoxy polyurethane composition. It is designed to form a functional coating with high chemical resistance and protective properties. This composition is used to protect metal, reinforced concrete and other mineral surfaces of structures operated in an industrial atmosphere (in the absence of UV radiation) and exposed to aggressive media: gases, aqueous solutions of salts, short-term dousing with acids, alkalis, oil and petroleum products, as well as mechanical wear and abrasion.
Specifications
Primer-enamel ISOLEP-epoline
- An epoxyurethane composition with an isocyanate-type curing agent and a high solids content.
Coating
- The coating is chemically resistant to aggressive atmospheric factors, to UV radiation; resistant to mechanical effect and abrasion.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
ISOLEP-epoline is used to protect metal, reinforced concrete and other mineral surfaces of structures.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Metal surface:
- degrease metal surface to the first degree according to GOST 9.402;
- clean from scale, rust and old paint by abrasive blasting up to the degree of Sa 2½ according to ISO 8501-1 (degree 2 according to GOST 9.402), it is allowed to clean by mechanized and manual tools up to the degree of St 3 according to ISO 8501-1 (degree 3 according to GOST 9.402);
- remove dust.
Concrete:
- remove dirt, oil and grease contamination;
- remove lime milk or laitance, destroyed or flaking concrete layers and old coatings by abrasive cleaning, grinding machine or brushes;
- dedusting;
- repair cracks and chips.
The exposure of the concrete base after removing the formwork before applying the composition should be at least 28 days; after applying leveling mixtures – according to the regulatory documentation of the mixture manufacturer. The moisture content of the base should not exceed 4 %
The concrete surface prepared in accordance with SNiP 3.04.03-85 for applying the paintwork should be evenly rough and not have protruding reinforcement, cracks, potholes, sinks, sagging, chipping ribs, oil stains, dirt and dust.
Before applying the second layer, the coating must be dry, clean and free of oil and dust.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- prior to use, mix the base thoroughly until smooth;
- with constant stirring, add the hardener to the base and mix thoroughly;
- if necessary, dilute to working viscosity.
The material is recommended to be applied at a temperature of plus 5 to plus 35 ° C and a relative humidity of no more than 80%. Temperature of the painted surface must be at least 3 °C above the dew point.
To increase the viability of the composition up to 1 hour, dilution with SOLVIN-15 thinner (TU 20.30.22-014-67503963-2018) in an amount of 5-10 % by weight is recommended.
The composition is recommended to be applied in 1-2 layers by airless, pneumatic spraying, brush / roller.
Application methods:
Airless spraying
Recommended diluent without dilution
Pressure 15-22 MPa (150-220 bar)
Nozzle diameter 0.015’-0.021’ (0.38-0.53 mm)
Air spraying
Recommended diluent SOLVIN-15
Amount of diluent up to 10% by mass
Pressure 0.2-0.4 MPa (2-4 bar)
Nozzle diameter 1.8-2.2 mm
Brush / Roller
Recommended diluent SOLVIN-15
Amount of diluent up to 10% by mass
Equipment cleaning
SOLVIN-15, solvents P-4, toluene, xylene
Intermediate drying between layers of the composition at a temperature of plus 20 ° C – at least 16 hours. The curing time depends on the surface temperature and ambient air, the degree of dilution of the material, coating thickness, ventilation efficiency and relative humidity.
The exposure time of the coating before use in aggressive conditions is at least 7 days at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C.
STORAGE OF ANTICORROSIVE PRIMER ENAMEL
The material is supplied as a complete set: the base and hardener are packaged in metal buckets and metal cans, respectively, depending on the weight of the kit.
Storage conditions is in accordance with GOST 9980.5 (at ambient temperatures from minus 40 to plus 40 °С). When storing containers with material components, they should not be placed near heat sources, exposed to atmospheric condensation and direct sunlight.
The shelf life is determined by the warranty periods of storage of the base and hardener of the composition – 12 months from the date of manufacture.
SECURITY MEASURES
When working, comply with the relevant industry standards and requirements, as well as the precautions indicated on the container label.
Use personal protective equipment (glasses, masks, respirators), avoid inhalation of solvents during evaporation and contact of the material or its components with the skin, mucous membranes of the eyes and respiratory tract; use indoors only if sufficient ventilation is provided.
The material and its components (base and hardener) are flammable!
